The common thing between the three computers is the disc. It's quite possible verbatim has multiple manufacturers that make their hardware and just brand it verbatim. I read someplace that event though the disc says it's from a certain manufacturer, it doesnt mean that the manufacturer physically made them. How can I safely scan or burn from suspect external drive (sandboxing/ isolation/ etc) I need to burn and scan some contents of a suspect external drive.If. WMP writes every song, and then when the process is finished, the disc is ejected and it's blank.

The last laptop does not give an error message, but it just doesn't burn it. Have tried different speeds and CDBURNER XP and WMP. It says that my drive is probably not installed. On to the next laptop, which is the first hp. Have tried ALL different speeds, and WMP CD Burner XP and POWER2GO Burning Gadget. I get a message that writes that I either have a bad quality disc (which is verbatim, so not true), or my disc is not capable of burning CD-R (which is also falsd, since I have a MATSHITA UJ8E2 DVD +-RW that can burn anything. On my main laptop, which is the Dell one, I have incompatibility issues.

I have tried to burn the discs in all three and none of them suceeded. So, I have 3 pc's for different purposes.
